Originally hailing from Dallas, TX, Emily got to Colorado as fast as she could! She has a BFA in Graphic Design from Colorado State University. After working for a specialty outdoor retailer for 5 years, Emily and her husband moved to Montezuma county in 2014. Prior to working at MPL she worked as a market gardener, for Osprey Packs, and Dolores Public Library where her love for tiny community libraries blossomed. In addition to her part time work at the library, she is also the coordinator for Tri-City Soccer Association, our local youth soccer league, and she does some freelance graphic design work.
She loves working at the library because of all the wonderful people with whom she gets to interact. Every book opens the mind to new perspectives and creates the opportunity to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Emily voraciously consumes audiobooks and loves thrillers, fantasy, and dystopian novels. She also enjoys kayaking, mushroom foraging, and meandering leisurely through the forest.
