Jared Boudreaux

Position: Director
Man standing by a library's fiction section, with bookshelves full of colorful books and a "Fiction" sign on top.

Jared has a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Film Studies from Nicholls State University. He was the library director of the Assumption Parish Library System for two years, where he managed five library branches. He’s also previously worked as an auditor, an archivist, and briefly as a birthday clown.

He loves working at a library because libraries are information hubs that bring people together. He thinks knowledge should be readily available to everyone, and he enjoys working in a place where he can help people. Whether that help is tracking down some history, or providing a safe space to read, helping others is fulfilling work.

Jared grew up on a livestock farm in southern Louisiana. He is a big movie person who enjoys hiking, animals, tabletop games, and traveling.
