Janice Archuleta

Position: Trustee
A woman with shoulder-length hair, smiling and wearing a floral shirt, stands outdoors with trees in the background.

Janice has lived in the Mancos area for over 20 years. She remembers the old cramped library on the corner of Main and Grand and supported the expansion into the present facility. Her two children spent many hours in the library while growing up with books, videos, and CDs, and attending the Mancos Schools, so she and her family understand the enrichment the library adds to the community as a whole. Janice has spent her career in the environmental field where she currently works, though she secretly has always wanted to be a librarian so she could surround herself with books, where she could always escape.
